TORONTO FISHING SPOTS
Fishing at G. Ross Lord ReservoirLocated in North York near the intersection of Dufferin Street and Finch Avenue, this reservoir on the West Don River provides limited fishing for brown bullhead, carp, punkinseed, rock bass and white suckers.
Anglers fish primarily from shore, using live baits (particularly worms) on bottom. Bullhead reach lengths of about 12 inches, while carp can exceed 10 pounds.
The G. Ross Lord Reservoir was built in 1973 to protect nearby homes from flooding. The surrounding parkland is popular with picnickers and dog walkers.
Parking is available, and the site is easily accessible by public transit. There are also washrooms, and limited facilities providing wheelchair access to water.
